| 2010 Director Election Results | | At its winter 2010 meeting, the ABEM Board of Directors (BOD) elected Catherine A. Marco, M.D., from nominees submitted by the Emergency Medicine community-at-large and Terry Kowalenko, M.D., from nominees submitted by the American College of Emergency Physicians to the Board of Directors.
Dr. Marco is Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director, and Director of Medical Ethics Curriculum, University of Toledo College of Medicine, Toledo, Ohio.
Dr. Kowalenko is Program Director, Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Michigan/St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Dr. Marco and Dr. Kowalenko attended the summer 2010 Board of Directors meeting as observers and began their terms at the close of the meeting.
