• Medical Toxicology - General Requirements

    A general requirement for all applicants is that they be diplomates in good standing of an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) member board. Diplomates of the American Board of Preventive Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics must submit applications to their respective boards.

    Physicians attain certification in the subspecialty of Medical Toxicology by meeting the requirements set forth in the Medical Toxicology Eligibility Criteria for Certification, by fulfilling specific credential requirements of their primary board, and by successfully completing the Medical Toxicology subspecialty certification examination.
