Congratulations to ABEM Director Marianne Gausche-Hill, M.D. for being the recipient of the Jim Seidel Distinguished Service Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics. The award recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the field of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
When asked what this award means to her, Dr. Gausche-Hill shared that “I am most proud of this award as Jim Seidel was my mentor when I did a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine before it was approved as a subspecialty. I thank him and the AAP for their roles in shaping my 30-plus years of advocacy for the emergency care of children.”
