The American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) wishes to express our deepest sorrow to the family, friends, and colleagues of Robert D. Lesslie, M.D., an ABEM-certified physician from Rock Hill, South Carolina. As dedicated workers in the specialty of Emergency Medicine, we are unfortunately all too familiar with the daily tragedy of senseless violence. When a fellow emergency physician and members of his family are killed, the depth of loss is more acute. ABEM extends its deepest sympathies to the family of Dr. Lesslie.
